International and local canine experts are set to appear in Sydney for the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) conference, to be held from October 24 to 26 at Penrith Panthers Rugby Leagues Club.
The conference is held annually to update trainers and dog owners on the newest developments in dog training.
Dave Graham will highlight how agility and sports programs boost dogs’ learning powers, while Marion Brand will cover the benefits of scent detection to dogs.
Sarah Kalnajs will talk about what blind and deaf dogs can teach us about dog-to-human communication, and Diane Garrod will discuss her pain-free approach to anxious dogs that can help calm, settle and train the unruly pooch.
Also featuring will be a trade show of classical, innovative and ethical training equipment, tools and toys.
