April 9 – July 3, 2016
The ‘Dogs in Australia’ art exhibition is a celebration of the dog, our relationship with it, and how artists have chosen to express this in their work over the past 220 years.
There are more than 130 individual dogs on show – painted, sculpted, drawn or printed by 64 known artists.
Almost all of the works in this exhibition have been borrowed, requiring 40 separate loans from public and private collections throughout Australia. It is arguably the largest and most comprehensive exhibition ever to be assembled around the theme of dogs in Australian art.
Entry is free.
