Dog Lovers Show Melbourne 2015

Around 30,000 dog devotees descended on the iconic Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne to celebrate at the third Dog Lovers Show.

The massive event featured over 250 exhibitors, around 500 dogs and dozens of experts, personalities and performers. Also, for the first time ever, the Pat-A-Pooch Zone offered visitors the opportunity to get up close and pat a range of delightful dogs, from snuggly Bernese Mountain Dogs to sweet Shar Peis.

Another standout was the Canidae Rescue Dog Zone where visitors met dogs from a wide array of shelters and rescue groups around Victoria and by the end of the show, hundreds of pooches had started the process to find a loving home.

As a nod to the ANZAC Centenary, a moving tribute acknowledged the contribution Australian Military Working Dogs have made in war and conflict over the last 100 years. Purple Poppies and Australian War Dog coins from within the Tribute area were also sold to commemorate the service of War Animals; with all funds being donated to Military Working Dogs.
