When Grandma comes to stay
When Grandma comes to stay
Bringing dog biscuits in her car
Parking in the driveway
I bark a hearty Hoorah
When Grandma comes to stay
I get to sit on her chair
While she does her knitting
She’s not fussed about the hair
When Grandma comes to stay
And we have a BBQ
She only has one sausage
But then she gives me two
When Grandma comes to stay
And I have muddy paws
She wipes them with a warm towel
Before I come through the door
When Grandma comes to stay
She likes to pat my head
When mum and dad aren’t looking
She says “Come jump on my bed”
When Grandma comes to stay
And falls asleep in the chair
I eat her afternoon tea
And she doesn’t care
When Grandma comes to stay
I know her love it never ends
My human soul mate
My very best friend
